Q: I have a problem with a purchased product. What do I do?
A: If your purchased product fails to download, or is corrupt, you can contact our support team within 24 hours of the purchase. We will then contact the author, address technical problems, and try to rectify it. If the purchase is still unsatisfactory, we will process a return and credit the original sale. Q: How much will I make on each product I sell?
A: Flat Pyramid pays 55% or more of the proceeds from sales to the artist. That's higher than the current industry standard. Flat Pyramid absorbs all the costs associated with the distribution, marketing and sale of your products including software development, maintenance, hosting, promotion, and financial transactions at no cost to the seller. We only get paid when your product sells.
Q: Do I loose copyright of my product after it has been sold?
A: No. You retain your copyrights except otherwise stated. What you are actually selling is a non-exclusive, non-transferable license that is granted to the Customer that purchases your product. Please see the End User License & Membership Agreement for more details.
Q: How does Flat Pyramid’s pricing work?
A: The artist sets the initial price of the product. After that, Flat Pyramid will review the product and adjust the price if it feels a different price will generate more revenue for the artist and Flat Pyramid. To address pricing issues, please write to
When pricing models and or other digital contents, there are some easy-to-follow guidelines we think everyone should be aware of. Ridiculously cheap models are usually suspected of being low quality no matter how good the previews look. And ridiculously expensive models never sell. We believe that almost any model with a price shouldn't be priced lower than $30. Reasonable model prices start at $30 and can go up to $1000 depending on the quality and scale. Models above $1000 would normally be extremely detailed, very difficult to make and in very high demand.
Q: How do I track my sales?
A: The Seller Sales Report is accessible from within the Member page (see Sales button on the member main navigation bar). Your records will come up and you can get accurate information on your sales history.
Q: How often are royalties paid?
A: Account balances are paid monthly in full within 15 days of the end of the month either by Paypal or by check.
Q: Who rates my products?
A: Ratings can be given by only those who have downloaded the asset or have been specifically selected as a Trusted Rater (scale of 1-5) once. Trusted Raters are selected from sellers, customers, and other members of the community who have a history and have built up trust in their rating fairness. Members can only add text reviews if they have purchased or downloaded your products.
Q: How will Flat Pyramid monitor content on the site?
A: Flat Pyramid uses various mechanisms to make distributing illegal or obscene content almost impossible. Products in violation of our policy will be removed immediately, and Members who post the products will be banned. Please remember this: Distributing copyrighted material is a very expensive felony.
Q: How many of the products are free?
A: We have hundreds of free products on Flat Pyramid.
Q: I am not from the U.S.A. Can I still use Flat Pyramid?
A: Yes. Users may download or purchase from anywhere in the world except for: Iraq, Sudan, North Korea, Cuba, Libya or any other country prohibited from importing goods from the U.S. either now or in the future.
Flat Pyramid does not currently support Unicode (umlauts and other special or non-Roman alphabetic characters). If you require special characters in your address to receive payment, the address corrections must be submitted using our trouble ticket form.

Q: How often do I need to complete a form?
A: Both the W-8BEN and W-8ECI are valid and will remain in effect for a period starting on the date the form is signed and ending on the last day of the succeeding calendar year, unless a change in circumstances makes any information on the form incorrect.
Q: Can I start selling my products without completing the form?
A: Yes; however, we will be unable to process your royalty check until we receive an accurately completed form.
Q: Can I Customize my search?
A: Yes, with our extremely powerful Quick Search and Detailed Search, you can customize all of your search parameters; thus enabling you to find what you need quickly.
For customized searches, Use the fields in the Detailed Search to define your search criteria. When you are satisfied with your search criteria, click the Go Button to perform your search. Your search results previews will then be displayed.
Q: I can’t find what I’m looking for. What do I do?
A: If you can’t find what you are looking for, then it probably isn’t in our database. However you can make a request for whatever you can’t find by clicking on the request links in various sections of the site and then complete the request form. This request would be seen by a large number of Artists, Designers, Photographers, etc. One of them could already have your requested products or might produce what you need.
