This is a highly accurate model of the MD-82 aircraft that crashed in the Barajas Airport in Madrid and took the lives of over 154 persons.
The aircraft includes a highly detailed landing gear, wing flaps, spoilers, rudders, ailerons, turbine, and probes.
Previews were rendered using mental ray with Maya.

How to import this model into your scene

3ds Max users

1-Extract the model from the ZIP File
2-In 3ds max, click on File gt Import
3-Open the model in the FBX format since it exports the normals correctly and embeds the textures within the file.

If you import the file from OBJ then youll have to fix the normals if they are softened.

Maya Users
For the use of this product with earlier versions of Maya:
-
1-Open the Maya ASCII File with Wordpad or Notepad.
2-In the file, close to the headers, remove the code requires maya 2008
3-Now you can use this file in earlier versions of Maya.

1-Extract the model from the ZIP File
2-In Maya, click on File gt Import
3-Open the model in the Maya format.
Other formats are accepted as well
