Defective Products

I Have A Problem With A Purchased Product. What Do I Do?

If your purchased product fails to download, or is corrupt, you can contact our support team within 24 hours of the purchase. We will then contact the author, address technical problems, and try to rectify it. If the purchase is still unsatisfactory, we will process a return and credit the original sale.

We offer refunds for defective products downloaded from FlatPyramid. The way it works is that if you purchase and download a product and it is deemed as defective or does not live up to the product description or product preview images then we will first make every attempt to have the problem corrected quickly. If we can not correct the problem in a timely manner we will promptly cancel your order and refund your money when you contact us within 48 hours of purchasing and downloading the product.

Please note that we offer refunds or exchanges for downloadable products deemed as defective or products that do not live up to the product’s description or product preview images.

If you are unsure about a certain product or need additional information, renders, specifications, please contact us before you buy and we will gladly assist you.

If you purchased a digital product from us with the assumption that it is a physical product, we will refund your payment less a 10% processing and transaction fee as long as you have not downloaded the product and contact us within 14 days of your purchase.

Custom 3D Models

All deposits paid for custom 3d modeling jobs are non-refundable. If the client receives and is not satisfied with the final deliverable 3d model files then we will make all attempts to resolve the issue provided it is within the original scope of work.
Notwithstanding, we offer no refunds whatsoever of the deposit paid for custom 3d modeling jobs.

Please note that there is no warranty that the product will be usable when the product is not used according to the product’s description, specifications and/or in the formats provided.

Refunds are issued only after the Customer has worked with FlatPyramid and/or the Seller to resolve the problem. If the issue cannot be resolved within 72 hours after notification then we would issue Customer the refund. However, you must contact us and bring the issue to our attention within 48 hours of purchasing and downloading the product.

When and if a refund is issued, the Customer is responsible for the immediate deletion of all files using the product and may not distribute, sell or use the product.

Order Cancellation Policy

Please submit any cancellation via email to cancelorder_at_flatpyramid.com or call on our business phone at 310-697-3740 within 48 hours of the order. This is especially useful if a customer purchases a product in error and has not yet downloaded the product. If you purchased a digital product from us with the assumption that it is a physical product, we will refund your payment less a 10% processing and transaction fee as long as you have not downloaded the product.

Email cancellations must contain the following:

First name, last name, order number, and email address.

This information must be identical to the information originally submitted on your order. Please provide contact information so that we may contact you if we have questions in regards to canceling your order. Every effort will be made to accommodate the cancellation of your order, providing your order has not been downloaded.

In the event that a cancellation was submitted (via email or phone), after you have already been charged, we will gladly refund the complete balance charged. Creating digital content like 3d models is extremely time consuming and difficult. It requires a great deal of expertise talent time and money. The founders of Flat Pyramid believe that a user friendly system for connecting customers to a global supply of digital 3d models content would save companies a lot of valuable production time and cost.

What Is Flat Pyramid?

Flat Pyramid is an organization that specializes in the distribution of 3d models and other digital content and interactive media. It is a crowd sourced marketplace for Augmented Reality 3d models, 3d Printing 3d models, Mobile ready 3d models and Online game ready 3d models.
Flat Pyramid is an intermediary platform where digital artists generate revenue from selling their 3d content. Flat Pyramid’s growing library has tens of thousands of products for purchase or for free.

How To Buy On Flat Pyramid

What license do I get and what does it cover?

You get a Royalty Free Non-Exclusive License to cover your personal and commercial use… simplified license to cover all your usage needs, except when the license type is Royalty Free Editorial Use. In this case, the 3d model specification will be labeled as Royalty Free Editorial Use and it may only be used in an editorial manner, relating to events that are newsworthy or of public interest, and may not be used for any commercial, promotional, advertising or merchandising use.

Other sites have multiple licenses that are required, which can be difficult or confusing if you’re not familiar with licenses. With us, you only need one license.

There is also an option for an Exclusive License if you need one, simply contact us.

How To Buy, Sell, And Download Products

You can register as a Customer or Seller on Flat Pyramid. When you register as a Seller, you will be able to Buy and Sell products. When you register as a Customer you will only be able to buy products or download free products from Flat Pyramid.  A Customer can always upgrade their account to become a Seller.

How To Find And Buy Products From Flat Pyramid 3D Marketplace

You do not need to signup to search through Flat Pyramid catalog of products. However, to buy products from Flat Pyramid, you need to:

  • Create a member account. Choose “Customer” as your member type if you will only be buying products from Flat Pyramid.
  • Logon to your Flat Pyramid account.
  • Use the Quick Search or Detailed Search tools to enter keywords to initiate a search and get a listing of the products that match your criteria. You can also browse by categories.
  • Sort and select the products that interest you. Then, click on each product to see detailed product information and multiple preview images.
  • Select the products you want. Priced and Free products are moved to a shopping cart awaiting payment or free download.
  • Enter credit card info to purchase your cart or pay by Paypal.
  • After the successful processing of your credit card or Paypal transaction, your products will be available for immediate download.

How To Download Products From Flat Pyramid 3D Marketplace

The Download page is where you see all of the models you have purchased or free models you have added to your download cart. Note: You must be logged on to access this page.

To Download a File: Click on the file format link next to the Vendor name and a dialog window should pop-up offering you to save the file.If this doesn’t happen, or the file’s name is incorrect, you should be able to right-click on the file format link and select ‘Save Target As’ or ‘Save Link As’. This will open the dialog window to save the file.

24 hour availability: once the model is purchased, the model will be available in the Download Queue for 24 hours.

How To Sell Your 3D Assets On Flat Pyramid 3D Marketplace

If you are already a customer, login to your account and go to the Member’s Area. Click on “Upgrade to Seller”.

Otherwise, create a Seller member account by selecting the button at the top of the navigation area called “Member”. Then select “Signup”

After registration process, Login and go to “Product Manager”

Select “Upload Files” in the Product Manager to upload your product files to the Flat Pyramid servers

Within the Product Manager, select Create Products to edit your products. Add descriptions, previews (thumbnails), keywords, a price, etc. Then update and publish to get your product online.

Select “Payment Info” in the member area to fill out your payment information so that we can send checks or pay you electronically for the sales of your products.

Check your sales in the “Sales” area. 55% or a designated % of the sales price of your products will be paid to you monthly.

How To Sell On Flat Pyramid

Uploading your Product Files

For files  that are less 100 MB:

To upload multiple files, drop the files anywhere or click on “Select Files” and use CTRL+Click to select multiple files.

Then, begin uploading your zip files, and/or images.

After you finish uploading, go to Create New 3D Model. When filling the Product File and Format information,  you can select your upload files by clicking on “CHOOSE FILE“.

For larger files that are more than 100 MB:

We recommend that you Import from Dropbox or Google Drive. Once the file is imported, select it from your Media Library tab, and click on “Insert file URL.”

I’m A Non – US Resident, Which Form Do I Need To Complete?

To determine which form to complete, please answer the following questions:

How do I earn commissions from referring customers to Flat Pyramid?

To earn commissions from referring visitors to FlatPyramid start by joining our affiliate program!

  • If you already have an account with us, Log In to your existing account and visit the Affiliate Dashboard. If you don’t have an account with us, Sign Up for a FREE account now.
  • After you log in, visit your Affiliate Center for free links, banners, reports and more.
  • Copy and paste the html snippets on your website, blog, webspace, social media account, forum signature or any other web application.
  • When visitors click on your affiliate link they will be redirected to Flat Pyramid. Your visitors will have access to Flat Pyramid’s entire product catalog of several thousands of product files for purchase.
  • After your visitors complete a sale, you will earn 20% commission on the sale.
  • You will receive monthly payments by Paypal, Check or Wire Transfer within 15 days of the end of the month for the previous month sales. If it falls on a weekend or a holiday, then it will be paid within the next business day. For example, all valid commission sales earned in the month of January will be paid on the 15th of February.

How often are royalties paid?

How Does Flat Pyramid’s Pricing Work?

The artist sets the initial price of the product. After that, Flat Pyramid will review the product and adjust the price if it feels a different price will generate more revenue for the artist and Flat Pyramid. To address pricing issues, please submit a trouble ticket or contact us. Please note that you need to login to your account to submit a trouble ticket.

When pricing models and or other digital contents, there are some easy-to-follow guidelines we think everyone should be aware of. Ridiculously cheap models are usually suspected of being low quality no matter how good the previews look. And ridiculously expensive models never sell. We believe that almost any model with a price shouldn’t be priced lower than $30. Reasonable model prices start at $30 and can go up to $1000 depending on the quality and scale. Models above $1000 would normally be extremely detailed, very difficult to make and in very high demand.

You do not need to signup to search through Flat Pyramid catalog of products. However, to buy products from Flat Pyramid, you need to:

  • Create a member account. Choose “Customer” as your member type if you will only be buying products from Flat Pyramid.
  • Logon to your Flat Pyramid account.
  • Use the Quick Search or Detailed Search tools to enter keywords to initiate a search and get a listing of the products that match your criteria. You can also browse by categories.
  • Sort and select the products that interest you. Then, click on each product to see detailed product information and multiple preview images.
  • Select the products you want. Priced and Free products are moved to a shopping cart awaiting payment or free download.
  • Enter credit card info to purchase your cart or pay by Paypal.
  • After the successful processing of your credit card or Paypal transaction, your products will be available for immediate download.

How To Download Products From Flat Pyramid 3D Marketplace

The Download page is where you see all of the models you have purchased or free models you have added to your download cart. Note: You must be logged on to access this page.

To Download a File: Click on the file format link next to the Vendor name and a dialog window should pop-up offering you to save the file.If this doesn’t happen, or the file’s name is incorrect, you should be able to right-click on the file format link and select ‘Save Target As’ or ‘Save Link As’. This will open the dialog window to save the file.

24 hour availability: once the model is purchased, the model will be available in the Download Queue for 24 hours.

How To Sell Your 3D Assets On Flat Pyramid 3D Marketplace

If you are already a customer, login to your account and go to the Member’s Area. Click on “Upgrade to Seller”.

Otherwise, create a Seller member account by selecting the button at the top of the navigation area called “Member”. Then select “Signup”

After registration process, Login and go to “Product Manager”

Select “Upload Files” in the Product Manager to upload your product files to the Flat Pyramid servers

Within the Product Manager, select Create Products to edit your products. Add descriptions, previews (thumbnails), keywords, a price, etc. Then update and publish to get your product online.

Select “Payment Info” in the member area to fill out your payment information so that we can send checks or pay you electronically for the sales of your products.

Check your sales in the “Sales” area. 55% or a designated % of the sales price of your products will be paid to you monthly.

Troubleshooting Uploading Problems

Below find ways to troubleshoot common uploading problems. If you do not find your issue here, please open a support ticket.

An HTTP 0 Error Ocurred When You Are Uploading

Issue: When you try to upload you get an HTTP 0 Error and depending on your browser you could also get a bunch of jibberish text above upload area or right below the error.

Description: The HTTP 0 error is typically caused by plugins that are enabled in your browser, which can  interrupt the uploading process.

Solution:

1. If your file is larger than 100 MB, we recommend that you upload your file via Dropbox.

2. If your file is smaller than 100 MB, then proceed to remove or disable the plugins in your browser that can interrupt the upload (like Chrome Extensions or Firefox addons).

I Have A Problem With A Purchased Product. What Do I Do?

If your purchased product fails to download, or is corrupt, you can contact our support team within 24 hours of the purchase. We will then contact the author, address technical problems, and try to rectify it. If the purchase is still unsatisfactory, we will process a return and credit the original sale.

If your username originally had spaces, then you will need to replace these spaces with underscores ( _ ).

Refund/Exchange Policy

We offer refunds for defective products downloaded from FlatPyramid. The way it works is that if you purchase and download a product and it is deemed as defective or does not live up to the product description or product preview images then we will first make every attempt to have the problem corrected quickly. If we can not correct the problem in a timely manner we will promptly cancel your order and refund your money when you contact us within 48 hours of purchasing and downloading the product.

Please note that we offer refunds or exchanges for downloadable products deemed as defective or products that do not live up to the product’s description or product preview images.

If you are unsure about a certain product or need additional information, renders, specifications, please contact us before you buy and we will gladly assist you.

If you purchased a digital product from us with the assumption that it is a physical product, we will refund your payment less a 10% processing and transaction fee as long as you have not downloaded the product and contact us within 14 days of your purchase.

Custom 3D Models

All deposits paid for custom 3d modeling jobs are non-refundable. If the client receives and is not satisfied with the final deliverable 3d model files then we will make all attempts to resolve the issue provided it is within the original scope of work.
Notwithstanding, we offer no refunds whatsoever of the deposit paid for custom 3d modeling jobs.

Defective Products

Downloaded products that are defective can be returned or exchanged. A defective product is a product that is unusable when it is used according to the product’s specifications and format provided, or when the product does not live up to the product’s description or preview images. In accordance with the Seller Representation of Warranties in the End User License & Membership Agreement, any defective product may be exchanged or returned to the Seller.

Please note that there is no warranty that the product will be usable when the product is not used according to the product’s description, specifications and/or in the formats provided.

Refunds are issued only after the Customer has worked with FlatPyramid and/or the Seller to resolve the problem. If the issue cannot be resolved within 72 hours after notification then we would issue Customer the refund. However, you must contact us and bring the issue to our attention within 48 hours of purchasing and downloading the product.

When and if a refund is issued, the Customer is responsible for the immediate deletion of all files using the product and may not distribute, sell or use the product.

Order Cancellation Policy

Please submit any cancellation via email to cancelorder_at_flatpyramid.com or call on our business phone at 310-697-3740 within 48 hours of the order. This is especially useful if a customer purchases a product in error and has not yet downloaded the product. If you purchased a digital product from us with the assumption that it is a physical product, we will refund your payment less a 10% processing and transaction fee as long as you have not downloaded the product.

Email cancellations must contain the following:

First name, last name, order number, and email address.

This information must be identical to the information originally submitted on your order. Please provide contact information so that we may contact you if we have questions in regards to canceling your order. Every effort will be made to accommodate the cancellation of your order, providing your order has not been downloaded.

In the event that a cancellation was submitted (via email or phone), after you have already been charged, we will gladly refund the complete balance charged. However, if the cancellation was documented as received after the order was downloaded, and the product does not fall under the defective product status then we will not refund the charge.
