speaker

A loudspeaker is a device which converts audio signal into corresponding sound. Speakers are typically housed in a speaker cabinet which is often a rectangular or square box. The box is made of several forms of wood or sometimes plastic. The cabinet’s material and design play an important role in sound quality of the speaker.

Alaxander Graham Bell patented his first electric loudspeaker as a part of his telephone in 1876. Later, in 1877 an improved version was introduced by Ernst Siemens. Thomas Edison was issued a British patent for a system using compressed air as an amplifying mechanism for his early cylinder phonographs.

First loudspeakers came into manufacturing in 1930s. Manufacturers began to combine two and three bandpasses’ worth of drivers in order to increase frequency response and sound pressure level. In 1937, first film industry level loudspeaker system was introduced.

Loudspeakers for home set up use three types of dynamic drivers; Mid-range driver, tweeter, woofer.

A Mid-range speaker is a speaker that produces a band of frequencies between 1-6 KHz. A tweeter is a high-frequency driver that produces the highest frequencies in a speaker system. A woofer produces low frequencies.

Everyone enjoys a good sound coming out of a loudspeaker, FlatPyramid has developed a 3-D model of a speaker. This is a high resolution model that can be used in various places. It is available in max format on our website. For further assistance kindly visit our website. We hope that you like it.
