French spirit in architecture prevailed throughout the French regime. It developed mainly along the St. Lawrence River and along the main rivers of the Laurentian Valley, the first settlements of Quebec. Originally from rural areas of France, settlers as well as tradesmen carpenters, masons,  bring to the country their traditional know-how. This first architecture has its origins in the constructive traditions of France, especially Brittany, Normandy, and Ile-de-France. It is changing rapidly after the first disappointing experiences of the 17th century to adapt to the availability of materials and climatic conditions in the country. The harsh climate leads to a multiplication of chimney stacks, while the number of openings, from single to double, is reduced as much as possible. This current will continue several years after the British Conquest (1759-1760) due to the isolation of the population of New France in the new British landscape. Continuing to evolve and under the influence of English architecture, the house of French spirit generates the so-called house of Quebec tradition from the 1820s. In the MRC of L'Assomption, there are forty examples listed of French spirit architecture near the founding places, on the main routes or at the heart of urban and village nuclei, particularly in Repentigny and L'Assomption. Houses of French spirit are commonly at ground level, without a cellar, with no or very few foundations, and usually, have only one ground floor which is accessed on one level. Some rural houses are more elongated and shallow; others are more square and more massive. The squat square is made up of thick walls often made of roughly squared rubble stone. There is sometimes fruit in the walls, that is to say, an increasing decrease in their thickness from the bottom. These buildings have only salient chimneys, often arranged in a baffle, and firewalls when they are installed in urban areas. The main building is surmounted by attics under high gabled roofs whose slopes can reach 55 degrees. Some roofs are rumped (four sides) covered with slate, tinplate, but more often with cedar shingles. Responding to specific needs, these homes are functional, without decoration or stylistic research. The openings are few and distributed as needed, without symmetry. Skylights are rare and small

Construction of 3D buildings relates to different technologies that use 3D printing as the core method of fabrication of buildings or const components. Alternate concepts are also used such as the Autonomous Robotic Building System.

A 3D printed house is a layer-by-layer structure that used 3D printing technology. A 3D printer is a device capable of building houses by depositing a material (for example, concrete) layer by layer.

The 3D-printed building would be made of concrete and would take up to one day to be printed by massive 3D robots, according to The Verge, which previously reported on the idea of ICON. Best of all, it will cost just $10,000 for homes. And ICON hopes it will eventually bring down the cost of homes to $4,000.

At the construction level, a range of 3D printing techniques are used, including the following main methods: extrusion, powder bonding, and additive welding. Such innovations have the potential to benefit from the faster building, lower labor costs, improved complexity and/or accuracy.
