Like fashion, architecture has styles that evolve over time, according to technological innovations and changing tastes. Thus, from elements such as origins, style, usage, time, matter ... many architectural styles are defined. In Europe, many architectural styles have dominated the times. Chronologically, among the most important, we can mention the Romanesque architecture which is characterized by buildings whose stone vaults are maintained by thick stone walls, built with important buttresses, inherited from Roman architecture, and which goes from the eleventh to the thirteenth century. Then comes the Gothic architecture which extends from the twelfth to the sixteenth century, and which is characterized by a detail of works and sculptures, stone bridges, very high naves, buttressing arches that serve as buttresses. One of the most beautiful buildings built in the Gothic style is the Cathedral Notre-Dame de Paris. The architecture of the Renaissance is an adaptation of Greek and Roman architecture, which extends from the fifteenth to the seventeenth century, and is characterized by a construction made with pillars and domes. Baroque architecture, which extends from the 17th to the 18th century, is characterized by intricate constructions and rounded geometric forms, the aim of which is to attract attention. From the 17th century, classical architecture was developed throughout Europe, inherited from ancient architecture, characterized by symmetrical constructions with straight lines and simple decoration. One of the most beautiful works of this architectural style is the Palace of Versailles. The neoclassical architecture, spread between the mid-eighteenth century and that of the nineteenth century, is characterized by buildings with more square and compact forms. The eclectic architecture, which extends from the late nineteenth century to the early twentieth century, is characterized by red and white brick buildings, symmetrical decorations. Finally, the contemporary architecture, which corresponds to our time, is characterized by constructions using as well a mixture of all the architectural styles as of all the forms and all the materials.
