Flour mill - an enterprise that processes grain into flour. Flour milling technology has come a long way from primitive tools of primitive man to modern mechanized flour mills. The most ancient tools for grinding grain were grater and mortar, then millstones (see Millstone), set in motion by hand. With the development of technology began to use water wheels in water mills. In the Middle Ages, windmills began to be built, with a millstone as a grinding device. With the improvement of their design, grain processing also improved. The development and improvement of flour mills were greatly facilitated by the invention of the steam engine. At the beginning of the 19th century, steam engine mills appeared.

Grain delivery
At modern mills, grain reception from road, rail and water transport is carried out by mechanical and pneumatic plants. The grain is placed in the elevator taking into account its type (durum wheat, soft wheat, rye, oats), quality indicators (moisture, gluten, vitreous); also for wheat grain there is a division into classes of grain (higher, first, second, third, fourth, fourth, fifth grade, fine grain)

Grain infected with bread pests is stored separately.

Grain preparation
Preparation of grain for grinding is carried out in the grain cleaning department. It includes: cleaning the grain mass from impurities using separators, triers and magnetic devices; cleaning the surface of the grain in a dry way on scouring machines or wet in washing machines; conditioning the grain, that is, treating it with water and heat, and mixing the types of grain separately prepared for grinding into a grinding batch. Despite the fact that grain always comes of a different qualities from different fields, the flour must be of a strictly defined variety. This makes mixing a grinding batch from grains of different varieties into a rather difficult task. The fact is that flour of too high quality (according to some indicators of grain quality) is not suitable for the manufacture of some types of baking, and vice versa, an attempt to bake bread from a flour of low quality (according to some indicators) of quality will end no less deplorable.

Grain processing
In the grinding department, grain during varietal grinding undergoes 3 main operations: primary crushing, the so-called torn process; enrichment of the obtained grains; fine grinding enriched cereals into flour. The grain is crushed on roller mills, with which the sieving machines work together - sifters that sort grain grinding products by size and, to a certain extent, by quality. From the grains after their enrichment and grinding on a group of roller machines, a smaller product is obtained - a dunst, which is then ground into flour. This method of grinding makes it possible to extract from the grain the maximum amount of endosperm free from the shells in the form of flour. The resulting flour in the knockout compartment by the machine is poured into bags and automatically weighed. Up to 30 types of various machines are involved in the production process, and grain at a medium-sized enterprise runs a path of 5 km from the moment it is taken into the elevator to the release in the form of flour from the knocked out compartment.

Let us describe this high definition and fully textured Flour Grinder Machine 3D Model.

This machine basically crush, grind or pound whole grains into smaller, powdery pieces that are called flour. Many different kinds of mills exist that operate using different mechanisms and powered by different sources. Also there are different types of flour mills available these days.

Let us explain the workings of a standard mill. Flour is ground up seeds of wheat. This is a multi step process. First the wheat is harvested. Secondly the wheat is made up of its husk, germ and body and is transported to storage. Third, from storage it is transported to the mill and put into silos to dry and in the mill, it is “rubbed” or “hulled” which removes the husk. After that whole grain flour, wheat with germ is then sent from the huller into a series of rollers which crushes the grain (seed) and goes between the “stones” which are actually large metal wheels that has grooves in it that tear the crushed grain into tiny little bits it drops into the fine milling wheels where these tiny bits get milled into flour, itty bitty bits of grain. This produces Whole Grain Flour.
