Volkswagen Beetle is a two-door, 5-seater, rear-engine economy car. This was manufactured and marketed by German automaker Volkswagen from 1938 to 2003.
The leader of Nazi, Germany was the first to formulate and demand a car that is compact and cheap for the people of Germany.
The lead engineer of this car Ferdinand Porsche finalized the design with his team in 1938, whereas the Bela Bernayi is credited as the first person to convince the original design for this car. Due to World war-II, the Civilian beetles only began to production for the significant and limited numbers in 1940.
The initial models were designed with 45 Hp and a top speed of 100 km/h. After the post-war, the beetle became the classic car of the Volkswagen series. Different models were introduced with different power engines varying from 1100CC H4 to 1600CC H4 with 4 –speed manual transaxle, 4 –speed semiautomatic and 3-speed semi-automatic transmissions.
