Although the most popular cartoon characters seem to be cats, mice, and birds, but if I analyzed a survey of last 10-15 years I found a few animated squirrels have entertained us the most in the last decade. Even my favourite squirrels of all times, who can also be a nuisance at times, are none other than Chip and Dale, straight from Donald Duck !!

There are a lot of things squirrels can do that’s amazing or surprising to many of us. I’ve read an article about squirrels being able to chew on wires. Also, how can one miss the Twiggy the World famous water skiing Squirrel? Twiggy has been entertaining parents & children alike with her water ski show since 1979! It has been featured on numerous television shows, newspaper articles, and websites.

Chip and Dale
The two Disney chipmunks made their first appearance in the short film ‘Private Pluto’ in 1943. At first nearly identical, eventually minor differences in appearance were added–Chip given a smaller black nose, smoother head fur, centered front teeth, and slightly darker color–so that viewers could more easily tell the two apart.

Secret Squirrel

Secret Squirrel and his sidekick Morocco Mole were Hanna-Barbera cartoons characters in the Atom Ant/Secret Squirrel Show, which aired from 1965 to 1968. During the season one, he was a spy with coded name Agent 000 who used amazing gadgets to battle evildoers, a la James Bond. In this, Mel Blanc did the voice of Secret Squirrel.
