The emergence of hi-tech
The stylistic direction of high-tech is still under study (2010). It is believed that it originated in the depths of postmodern architecture in the 1970s. The main theorists and high-tech practitioners were the architects of Britain, Japan, and the United States. Among them are Japanese Kenzo Tange, Italian Renzo Pinot, and the British Norman Foster, Nicholas Grimshaw, Richard Rogers, in the US - F. Johnson.
Architectural historian and US architect Charles Jenks (1939 p. Baltimore) developed a classification by which hi-tech is late modernism, the peak of its development.
