Skyscraper Office Building 3D model.
Skyscraper or skyscraper is a continuous high-rise building that is more than 40 stories tall and is taller than approximately 150 meters. Historically, the term referred primarily to buildings with 10 to 20 floors built in the 1880s. The definition changed with the advancement of construction technology during the twentieth century. Skyscrapers can host commercial or residential offices or both. For buildings above a height of 300 m, the term " supertall " can be used, while skyscrapers that reach more than 600 m are classified as "megatall".
Skyscrapers, since the 1960s, use innovative tubular models created by the US-Bangladeshi structural engineer Fazlur Rahman Khan. This principle of civil engineering makes these buildings structurally more efficient and stronger. It reduces the use of the material (economically much more efficient) while allowing the buildings to reach greater heights. The Khan model allows fewer interior columns and thus creates a more usable space, as well as allowing buildings to have varying formats. There are several variations of the modular model; these structural systems are critical to the current height construction project. Other pioneers include Hal Iyengar and William LeMessurier.
