The Toyota Supra is a sports tourer manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporations beginning in 1978. The first four generations of the car were produced between 1978 and 2002. The A80 program started in February 1989. Toyota started to put more emphasis on high performance cars. They featured two engines, a naturally aspirated Toyota 2JZ-GE having a power output of 220 hp at 5,800 rpm and 285 NM of toruqe at 4,800 rpm. The turbocharged variant could accelerate to 62 mph in as low as 4.6 seconds. It could cover 1/4 mile in 13.1 seconds at 109 mph. This version has a tested top speed of 177 mph, but the cars are restricted to 112 mph in Japan and 155 mph in the worldwide market.
