The Jagdpanzer IV was a tank destroyer based on the Panzer IV chassis built in three main variants. The Jagdpanzer IV kept the basis chassis of the Panzer IV tank, but the original vertical front plate was replaced by a sharp edged nose. Internally, the layout was changed to accommodate the new superstructure, moving the fuel tanks and ammunition racks. Jagdpanzer IV was a great defensive weapon but was produced too late and in small quantity to have greater impact on the war situation.

It was a type of tank destroyer used by the Nazi army of Adolf Hitler during World War 2. It remains just for 2 years in service from 1943 – 1945 and about 2000 units of such kind of military tank destroyers were produced.
These tanks have additional radio equipment installed with a range of 80km. Germany army was considering the Panzer IV/70 (V) to quip with all battalions Panzer & Panzer Grenadier divisions were grouped into Panzerjager companies. These companies were to be equipped with 10 to 14 Panzer IV L/70 (V).
Panzer IV/70(V) was almost the same as its successor Jagdpanzer IV version but the only difference there was only with the length of the main Gun. Most of the specifications were the same as in the Jagdpanzer IV but the difference was in break inspection hatches were square-shaped. Total weight was 2.8 tones, 4 crew, speed – 35kmph with an operational range of 210 km.
