Scooby-doo is an American animated franchise, comprise many animated television series produced from 1969 to this day. Following the success of the original series, Hanna-Barbera and its descendant Warner Bros. Animation have produced many follow-up and spin-off animated sequences and a number of other related works, together with television specials and made-for-TV movies, a line of direct-to-video films, and two Warner bros.
Scooby-Doo was at first broadcasted on CBS from 1969 to 1976, when it moved to ABC. ABC aired variations of the show until cancelling it in 1985, and presented a spin-off featuring the characters as children.
Additional reboots were produced for Cartoon Network beginning in 2010 and continuing through 2018. Repeats of the varied Scooby-Doo series are frequently broadcast on Cartoon Network’s sister channel Boomerang within the US and other countries as well.
During the planning phase, lead character designer Takamoto consulted a studio colleague who was a breeder of Great Danes. After learning the characteristics of a prize-winning Great Dane from her, Takamoto proceeded to break off most of the principles and designed an excessive amount of overly bowed leg, a buccula, and a sloped back among other abnormalities.
