The park is an outdoor green area intended for recreation. As a rule, parks are maintained by the state and are provided for recreation for everyone.

Park art originated in China (Suzhou), and then in the Baroque era was introduced to France (regular park). In the 18th century, a landscape park appeared on the wave of romanticism. Public city parks appeared in Europe only at the beginning of the XIX century. One of the first such parks was the English Park in Munich.
